In an exciting development for the industrial automation sector, Inbolt and Zivid have joined forces in a strategic partnership that promises to set new standards for 3D precision vision technology in industrial environments.

This collaboration combines Inbolt's expertise in real-time robot guidance AI with Zivid's high-precision 3D camera technology. Zivid’s cameras are capable of rapid image capture ranging from 60 milliseconds to 1 second, a feature that aligns perfectly with Inbolt's AI-powered algorithms—which utilize 3D data for real-time workpiece localization and perform robotic guidance with a less than a second latency from point cloud generation to new robot coordinate adjustments. This real-time processing is crucial in automation, where machines need to respond to changing conditions instantly. Paired with GuideNOW and Zivid 2+ M60 camera, industrial robots and cobots can quickly interpret the environment and make informed decisions, enhancing efficiency and productivity in industrial processes. This combination supports fast and smart automation, helping businesses to maintain high performance over time.

The Zivid camera is resilient against fluctuations in lighting and is capable of discerning parts of varying colors, effective even with materials that are reflective or translucent; these are all critical features. That, along with the camera's versatility with different sizes of parts, ranging from very large to minuscule, enables its application across industries like electronics, luxury goods, and pharmaceuticals. This adaptability is rooted in the superior quality of the point cloud data provided by Zivid, enhancing Inbolt’s GuideNOW's ability to identify parts lacking significant geometric or depth features.

Inbolt’s mission is to democratize vision-guided technology by integrating 3D vision into a user-friendly, plug-and-play solution that is easily programmable by end-users. GuideNOW is a pure software solution that is hardware agnostic, yet recognizes and leverages the optimal specifications of Zivid cameras to advocate its use across multiple sectors. Through this initiative, Inbolt aims to make advanced vision-guided technologies accessible and beneficial to a broader range of industries, thereby fostering innovation and efficiency in automation processes.

"The robot guidance project at Inbolt is a promising one with marked value to the automation industry. This highlights the importance of precision and dimension trueness for completing delicate tasks - We are excited to be the 3D vision provider for these applications.”
— Henrik Schumann-Olsen, Founder and CTO of Zivid
“Partnering with Zivid allows us to harness the exceptional capabilities of their 3D cameras, amplifying our AI's real-time guidance to achieve unparalleled precision in industrial automation.”
— Rudy Cohen, Co-founder and CEO of Inbolt

This partnership marks a significant milestone in the advancement of precise 3D vision technology within industrial automation. By combining their respective expertise, Inbolt and Zivid are revolutionizing precise efficiency within the manufacturing industry, paving the way for innovative solutions that respond to the dynamic needs of modern industrial environments.
